Taxi firm Auto has installed defibrillators in 33 of its cars
07.05.2019 - 14:34
Last year, Auto taxi driver Victor Carlsen (pictured) set out to get defibrillators installed in the company’s cars.
And now, 33 of the cars have been fitted with these devices and accessories.
Defibrillators give a high-energy electric shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest. This high-energy shock is called defibrillation and is an essential part in trying to save the life of someone who's in cardiac arrest.
Help at hand
“Our cars travel everywhere across the islands at all times of the day, so if something happens, we are never far away,” says Carlsen.
As part of this initiative, all of Auto’s staff members have completed a first-aid course.
