KÍ play San Marino and NSÍ play Northern Ireland
KÍ and NSÍ were featured in yesterday’s UEFA Europa League preliminary round draw in Nyon, Switzerland.
KÍ, from Klaksvík, was drawn against Tre Fiori from San Marino, while NSÍ, from Runavík, will be playing Northern Ireland’s Ballymena.
Tre Fiori made it past the preliminary round in last year’s Europa League after a 3-1 aggregate win over Bala Town from Wales. Ballymena has yet to progress from the preliminary round in a European tournament.
B36 through to the second round
B36, the third Faroese club in the tournament, was not featured in the draw, as its ranking is high enough to skip the preliminary round.
The first leg of the preliminary round will be played on 27 June and 4 July.
HB represents the Faroes in the Champions League. This draw will take place next week.
