New hotel opens in the capital
Today marks the official opening of Tórshavn’s newest hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn Faroe Islands.
In addition to its 130 rooms, the four-star hotel boasts a restaurant, a bar, a wellness area with an outdoor spa, a sauna, a gym, plus five conference rooms.
The Hilton Garden Inn brand consists of mid-priced, focused service hotels owned by Hilton Worldwide.

The hotel’s restaurant, named Hallartún, and the bar will be open daily to residents and the public alike. Hallartún, which seats 90 guests, opens tonight at 6pm.
”We are really excited to welcome our first guests and give them a first-class international hotel experience peppered with the now-famous Faroese hospitality,” says hotel manager Martin Restorff.
