Task force to combat illegal drugs
A multilateral working group has been tasked with advising the government on how to solve the growing drug problem in the country

Health minister Kaj Leo Holm Johannesen has appointed a special task force to address the illegal drugs problem in the Faroes.

The group is made up of people from the police, the municipalities association, the Prime Minister’s Office and the finance, culture, social and health ministries.

The group has been given a two-fold task: firstly, to provide a set of immediate measures within the next two weeks and, secondly, to come up with a long-term plan on how to tackle the country’s drugs problem.
