SAS resumes Denmark-Faroes route
Scandinavian Airlines has resumed its route between Copenhagen and Vágar.
The airline suspended its Denmark-Faroes flights on 1 October due to reduced passenger demand caused by the Covid pandemic and the mandatory Covid test charges imposed on passengers by Faroese authorities.
Regin I. Jakobsen, CEO of Vágar Airport, expects a modest but gradual increase in passengers this year.

“We’re unlikely to see pre-Covid passenger numbers this year or next year, but we do expect the numbers to pick up over the coming weeks,” he says.
“And, unlike last year, we do not expect passenger numbers to drop to near-zero once the summer is over, so there is hope ahead.”
Atlantic Airways recently announced that it will resume flights to Keflavik, Oslo, Edinburgh and Mallorca later this month.
