One new Covid case
Yesterday’s 1,503 tests, most of which were conducted in Klaksvík, yielded one positive result.
The infected person, who is linked to a known chain of infection, has been isolated and contact tracing is underway.
No-one is currently receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 69 people are listed as being in quarantine.
Eighty-five percent tested
Since the Covid outbreak in March, 85 percent of the Faroese population have been tested, and just over 62 percent have been tested twice or more, according to a poll carried out by polling firm spyr.fo.
New site portal.fo, which commissioned the poll, reports that most tests have been conducted in connection with travel and by request of employers.
