Starvsmannafelagið announces sympathy strike
Starvsmannafelagið (the Salaried Staff union) will go on a 24-hour sympathy strike with the nurses on Tuesday morning at 7am.
The strike action will involve members of the union who are covered by the contract between Starvsmannafelagið and the Ministry of Finance. Members working in Parliament, the National Audit Office and the parliamentary commissioner will also be involved in the sympathy strike.

Some exceptions will, however, be made, says Súni Selfoss, chairman of Starvsmannafelagið.
These are: the operation control centres in the three hospitals, emergency ambulance services, ferries, Kringvarp Føroya and the Covid-19 unit at the Food, Veterinary and Environmental Agency (HFS).
