Yesterday’s round of 1,854 Covid tests yielded 14 positive outcomes.

Nine of these 14 tested positive on arrival from abroad.

Eight of the nine positive tests taken at Vágar Aiport came from the Czech national handball squad, which travelled to the Faroes to play the Faroese national team. The game, scheduled for tonight, has been cancelled, and the Czech squad has now left the country.

The other five cases are linked to a known chain of infection in the Faroes.
