Fertility treatment to resume
People in need of fertility treatment are currently being sent to a fertility clinic in Denmark.
The regular treatment at a clinic in Iceland has been put on hold for months due to the pandemic.
But this treatment will now become available again despite the challenging circumstances, according to the National Hospital.
Priority list
Couples who have been on the waitlist the longest and those who are near the age limit for fertility treatment will be given priority.
Those who have been approved for treatment will be notified with details on further steps.
It may take some time before all eligible couples have received their notification, according to the National Hospital.
