While it remains uncertain whether any music festivals will go ahead this year, another type of festival is only hours away.

Opening tomorrow at 2pm at the Svangaskarð football ground in Toftir, Eysturoy, the car festival will feature about 150 cars from every car dealership in the country.

In addition to the extensive car exhibition, the festival also features competitions, concerts, tombola and other games, a food court and panel discussions on motor-related topics such as electric cars vs petrol cars.

Visitors will also be encouraged to vote for the country’s prettiest car.

The car festival will be open tomorrow and Sunday from 2pm to 8pm. Admission is free of charge.
