Faroese pupils scoop Danish entrepreneurial prize
Two Nám X pupils at Tórshavn’s Eysturskúlin, Durita Jónsdóttir and Elin Eyðunsdóttir, were yesterday crowned winners of Next Level – the Danish entrepreneurial championships for primary school pupils.
Their company DUEL – North Atlantic Skincare was named the best entrepreneurial initiative of the year.
Kelp, salmon oil and cucumber
DUEL, a name consisting of the first two letters of the names Durita and Elin, has developed three sustainable skin lotions with kelp, salmon oil and cucumber as the main ingredients.
“This is awesome! It has been great to work with our own idea, and we have learned some really valuable lessons,” the two happy girls – now DKK 10,000 better off – told the Fonden for Entreprenørskab, which organised the championships.
This prize is not to be mistaken for the student entrepreneurial awards, which is for college-age students.
