Third vaccine shot likely needed within a year
A booster dose of Covid vaccines will likely be required within 12 months of full vaccination.
And this may need to be followed by subsequent annual revaccinations, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla told U.S news channel CNBC.
Trials have shown that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine provides protection for at least six months after the second shot, but it is not yet clear what happens beyond this period.
