Incoming travellers who stay in the country for one month or longer will now be able to get vaccinated for free.

The vaccines will be available 14 days after the time of arrival.

Faroese citizens and citizens of other countries who have a Faroese civic number can book their vaccination appointment here. The booking site is currently only available in Faroese, but an English version will be available soon. People without a Faroese civic number can book by phone on 304545 weekdays between 2pm and 4pm. Questions can also be directed to the Corona hotline (304040), open Mondays-Thursdays 10am-3pm.

One new Covid case

One person tested Covid positive yesterday in a follow-up test taken four days after arriving in the country.

There are currently six active cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 68 people are listed as being in quarantine.

The latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated yesterday, show that 19,008 people (35.7 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 7,245 (13.6 percent) have received the second shot.
