Thirteen new Covid cases
There are currently 128 active Covid-19 cases in the country

Wednesday’s 1,519 Covid tests resulted in 13 positive cases, reports corona.fo.

Ten of these were infected in the Faroes and are linked to known chains of infection. The other three tested positive in follow-up tests on the second and fourth days after arriving from abroad.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 10, 22, 7, 3, 17, 9 and 13.

Two people are receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 405 people are listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated on Wednesday, 38,471 people (71.8 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 36,538 (68.2 percent) have received the second shot.
