Thirteen new Covid cases
All were infected in the Faroes

Saturday’s 1,082 Covid tests resulted in 13 positive cases, reports corona.fo.

All were infected in the Faroes. Eleven are are linked to known chains of infection, and the infection source of the other two remains unidentified.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 3, 17, 9, 13, 9, 12 and 13.

There are currently 132 active Covid-19 cases in the country. One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid, and 383 people are listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated on Friday, 38,647 people (72.1 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 36,713 (68.5 percent) have received the second shot.
