Charity fundraiser nets almost DKK 3 million
Red Cross Faroe Islands took in just over DKK 2.9 million in last night’s annual charity fundraiser.
Due to the current Covid situation, the fundraiser, which has traditionally consisted of door-to-door collections, was this year organised as a televised event in which viewers could donate by phone.
The event included an auction, and one of the items was national football team star Klæmint A. Olsen’s jersey, which had a winning bid of DKK 30,000.
