Government popularity plummets in new poll

The government is dealt a serious blow in the latest opinion poll.
Only 37.7 percent of 500 respondents said they would vote for the current government parties. This figure was 51.8 at the general election on 8 December last year.
The poll was conducted on Thursday, before Friday’s announcement that the government would resume talks with Russia on extending the fisheries deal.
About 12.5 percent of respondents said they were undecided, 2.4 percent said they would refrain from voting at this point and 2.6 percent said they would cast a blank vote.
The poll was conducted by spyr.fo on behalf of news site portal.fo.
