Fisheries inspection authority Vørn has fined Næraberg for dumping fish illegally.

A Vørn representative, who had joined the crew on the ship’s latest expedition as part of a routine check, noticed the illegal activity. The dumped fish included so-called ‘damaged fish’.

The Vørn representative immediately informed the crew of the illegality of their actions, but the dumping continued. The exact amount of dumped fish has yet to be confirmed.

The P/F Næraberg shipping company has been handed a DKK 1,550,000 ticket fine, but according to the police, the company has not yet accepted the ticket fine.

Vørn has now passed the matter on to the police for further consideration.
