Poul Michelsen, party leader of Framsókn (the Progress Party), supports his party’s Parliamentary group’s decision to go against the Minister of Fisheries’ fisheries reform plan.

“I was not informed,” was the only comment from Høgni Hoydal, the Minister of Fisheries, when asked about Framsókn’s proposal to postpone parts of the fisheries reform.

“I do not wish to make further comments about internal disagreements.”

Prime Minister Aksel V. Johannesen also declined to comment on the situation, but his communication adviser says he is likely to make a statement later today.
