Extra costs due to “poor consultancy”

Inadequate consultancy and incorrect design outlines are among the reasons why the Glasir project has gone over budget.

Ewald Kjølbro, the CEO of Landsverk (The Road Authority), which manages the construction, is blaming Danish consultancy firm BIG for the complications.

The project was initially budgeted at DKK 635m, but the provisional bill now stands at DKK 653m.

Kjølbro adds that further expenses can be expected before the construction is completed.
