Vágur’s swimming pool given international approval
Faroese swimmers can now register their times for the upcoming World Championships in Vágur’s 50-metre pool

The swimming pool in Vágur, Suðuroy, has received its long-awaited International Swimming Federation (FINA) approval.
This means that times set during this month’s Faroese championships in swimming will now count towards qualification for the World Championships.

This is big news for Faroese swimming, and the Faroese Swimming Association has also secured internationally approved referees and starters.
The Faroese championships will be held in Vágur 26-28 April, and the World Championships will take place in South Korea, starting on 12 July.
