Old age pensioners will receive DKK 1,080 more per month if three new law amendment proposals are approved.

Three law amendment proposals seeking to increase the payouts to old age pensioners have been submitted to Parliament.
One proposal aims to increase the basic amount, one aims to change the set-off rules and one aims to introduce tax allowances on payouts from the Samhaldsfasti Eftirlønargrunnur (the joint and several labour market pension fund).
If all three proposals are approved, pensioners will receive an extra DKK 1,080 per month, and working will always be worthwhile for pensioners, according to finance minister Jørgen Niclasen.
He adds that an extra DKK 1,080 per month will almost bring the state pension payout in line with the salary of a full-time unskilled worker.
