Big increase in tax revenue

In the first 11 months of this year, local councils saw an increase of DKK 137.5 million in council tax revenue, compared to the same period last year.

This is an increase of 8.14 percent. Up to 1 December this year, local councils received DKK 1.820 million in taxes.

Half of the municipalities had an increase of more than 10 percent in tax revenue.

Fámjin municipality is the only local council that saw a drop in tax income, going down by 3.4 percent on last year.

Increase across the board

Government tax revenues increased by DKK 138.5 million from 1 January to 1 December.

There has also been an increase in church tax of DKK 9.3 million, which is an increase of almost 20 percent.
