Big increase in drugs seized in customs

Customs officers have seized 17.1 kilos of cannabis this year, which is twice as much as a year ago, according to tax and customs authority TAKS.

The street value of the seized cannabis is estimated at DKK 4.3 million.

There has also been a steady increase of stronger substances seized in customs in recent years. This year, customs officers have caught a total of 1 kg of amphetamine, 500 tabs, 45 grams of MDMA and 50 grams of cocaine.

The total street value of the hard drugs intercepted in customs this year is valued at DKK 5.8 million.
