Poor WiFi “cripples” Suðuroy’s grammar school

Weeks of poor internet connection have crippled Suðuroy’s grammar school.
The term paper deadline for final-year students has been extended, and other school activities have also been suspended.
“An internet breakdown like this is totally unacceptable in a modern society,” says school principal Guðrið Johansen. “Most of the activity in our school is online-based, so when the internet shuts down like it has here, the school is left crippled.”
Problem solved
The poor internet connection in Suðuroy in recent weeks is due to an unusual and unfortunate combination of problems with network cables, according to Føroya Tele.
The internet speed in Suðuroy is now back to normal.
