Passenger number limits have been applied on all ferries in accordance with recommendations from the epidemic committee
Only 125 passengers are allowed on Suðuroy ferry Smyril per trip

Transport authority Strandferðslan is now limiting the number of passengers allowed on the country’s ferries.

Tórshavn-Suðuroy ferry Smyril can only take 125 passengers, 100 in the lounge and 25 in cars.

Gamlarætt-Sandoy ferry Teistin takes 80 passengers.

Tórshavn-Nólsoy ferry Ternan takes 50 passengers.

Klaksvík-Kalsoy ferry Sam can take 20 lounge passengers and 25 in cars.

Hvannasund-Svínoy/Fugloy ferry Ritan takes 35 passengers.

Sandur-Skúvoy ferry Sildberin takes 10 passengers.

Gamlarætt-Hestur ferry Spógvin takes four passengers.

The public is advised to abstain from using public transport as much as possible.
