Fourteen new corona cases

After 1,221 coronavirus tests, a total of 72 have come out positive, health authorities announced this morning.

The Chief Medical Officer has been announcing the total number every morning for the past days.

This morning, 14 new cases were announced, compared to 11 yesterday morning.

Meanwhile, another person who had contracted the virus has now recovered and was released from quarantine this morning.

The woman had just returned from Northern Italy when she noticed flu-like symptoms. After testing positive for the coronavirus on 5 March, she was placed into quarantine in Hotel Vágar and has reportedly been in good health ever since.

Ten people with whom the woman had been in contact were also put into isolation. None of them showed any symptoms and have also been released.
