All churches open to the public today.

In keeping with social distancing guidelines, larger churches will have a limit of 100 people attending, medium-sized churches will have a limit of 75 and the smaller ones will have a limit of 30.

These restrictions will apply to regular church services, funerals and wedding ceremonies.

Churchgoers are asked to bring their own hymn books or use the hymn book app, as the hymn books usually provided by the churches will not be used due to the risk of COVID-19 infection. Selected churches will provide sheets of hymns at the entrance.

Tórshavn’s Vesturkirkjan will have two services today, one at 11am and one at 1pm.

KvF’s radio station will be broadcasting live from the Hoyvík church at 11am, and KvF’s TV station will broadcast from Klaksvík’s Christianskirkjan church at 4pm. Both of these can be streamed on this website.
