Airline adds one more weekly flight
As Faroese students abroad are nearing their summer breaks, there is now a slight increase in demand for flights between the Faroes and Denmark.
To meet this demand, Atlantic Airways will be adding one more weekly flight to the route on Monday 1 June.
The current flights on the Denmark route are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and the new flight will be added on Thursdays.

“We’re adding an extra flight to make sure that we can follow the social distancing requirements with the increasing passenger numbers,” says Atlantic Airways CEO Jóhanna á Bergi.
The recent increase in demand is still relatively modest, and she is not expecting a substantial increase in passenger numbers until the 14-day self-quarantine requirement for travellers to the Faroes is lifted.
