Five new Covid-19 cases
Five new Covid-19 cases were registered yesterday from Friday’s testing round, reports corona.fo.
They have all been quarantined, and contact tracing has been initiated.
All five persons contracted the virus domestically.
According to chief medical officer Lars Fodgaard Møller, two of them were already in quarantine, and the other three were believed to be exposed to the virus as they had close links to a known chain of infection.

This leads Møller to conclude that the risk of further spread is not considerable and that the chains of infection remain under control.
There are now 13 active cases in the country, one of whom is receiving Covid-19 treatment in hospital.
