An eventful home game against Welsh team The New Saints saw B36 coming out on top after a penalty shootout.

The Tórshavn team took the lead, courtesy of a Michal Przybylski goal early in the second half, but the Welsh side equalised in the dying second of the game to force extra time.

After a tense extra time period with one additional goal for each side, the game went to penalties.

Aided by two saves by B36 keeper Rói Mørk Hentze, the Faroese side won the shootout 5-4.

B36 is now the first Faroese side ever to advance in European football three times within a year.
