Third consecutive day with no new Covid cases

No new positive Covid tests have been registered since Wednesday.

Over the past week, the daily number of positive tests has been as follows: 0, 3, 0, 2, 0, 0 and 0.

No-one is currently receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19.

Location, age and gender

According to the latest figures on corona.fo, updated on Friday, Suðurstreymoy has by far the highest total number of cases registered since 1 July, with 149, followed by Eysturoy (28), Vágar (14), Suðuroy (12), Norðstreymoy (9), Sandoy (7) and Norðoyggjar (4).

The 20-29 age group dominates the statistics since 1 July, with 66 cases registered. Next on the list are the 50-59s (31), followed by the 40s-49s (30), the 10-19s (29), the 30-39s (24), the 0-9s (16), the 70-79s (15), the 60-69s (11) and the 80+ age group (1).

According to the latest figures, the gender split among those infected since 1 July is even, at 50/50. Foreign nationals are not included in the age and gender statistics, but Faroese citizens living abroad are.
