Nurse strike soon to cover all three hospitals
Nurses working at the inpatient ward of Tvøroyri Hospital, Suðuroy, will go on strike on Thursday at 3pm, the National Union of Nurses has announced.
The ongoing strike intensified yesterday morning when nurses at the National Hospital’s B6 unit went on strike. The B6 management and B6 palliative care will not, however, be affected by the extended strike.

At the same time as nurses at Tvøroyri Hospital go on strike, nurses at the National Hospital’s A3 unit will follow suit.
Attempts to resume talks between the opposing parties, The National Union of Nurses and the Ministry of Finance, have collapsed and yesterday the Conciliation Board announced that nothing more can be done at this point to reach an agreement.
