Planned electricity price hike put on hold
Electricity prices will remain unchanged next year as the Covid pandemic has temporarily halted energy expansion plans

27.11.2020 - 13:42

Public energy supplier SEV last year announced plans to increase electricity prices by DKK 0.05 per KWh for households and DKK 0.10 per KWh for businesses.

But as 2020 has turned out to be a year like no other, this price hike has been dropped for now.

“This year has forced us to reassess most of our plans, and we have now placed expenditures of about DKK 100 million on hold,” says Hákun Djurhuus, CEO of SEV.

“This means that we have managed to stick to our planned budget without needing to increase electricity prices for 2021.”
