The phase 1 group is specified as followed: GPs and their staff, emergency medical service staff, the G1 unit at the National Hospital, ER staff at Klaksvík Hospital and Suðuroy Hospital, the national ambulance service, the Covid-19 ward, Covid-19 testing staff plus health and care workers at elderly care institutions.

Everyone, including those in subsequent vaccination phases, will be offered the vaccine free of charge.

Vaccinations will be organised by the Hospital Service and will take place at the country’s three hospitals as well as at an additional, yet to be specified, unit in Tórshavn.
