The European Union’s digital vaccine passport, known as the EU Digital COVID Certificate, will launch on 1 July.

“Our app, the digital passport itself, is just about complete. We are now working on a certificate for approval by the EU,” said Steinar Eirikstoft, CEO of the Hospital Service.

“If all goes well, this certificate will be ready by the end of July, which marks the completion at our end. It is difficult to guess how long the EU’s approval process will take.”
