Vaccinations brought forward by three weeks
With 10,500 additional Covid vaccine doses expected to arrive in the Faroes next week, the health authorities have decided to bring forward the vaccination programme by three weeks.
This comes after the Faroes were allocated their 0.9-percent share of the 1.17 million doses which Denmark recently purchased from Romania.
Danish health authorities have brought their vaccination programme forward by two weeks and are now extending their vaccine approvals to include 12-15-year-olds.
The Faroese health authorities are debating whether this should apply in the Faroes too. A decision is expected within the next couple of weeks.
