23 new Covid cases
There are currently 94 active Covid-19 cases in the country

Yesterday’s 2,077 Covid tests yielded 23 positive outcomes, reports corona.fo.

One tested positive on arrival from abroad and one in a follow-up test four days after arrival. The other 21 were infected domestically – 19 of these are linked to a known chain of infection, while the infection source of two persons remains unknown.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 3, 9, 10, 14, 8, 20 and 23.

No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 401 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated on Friday, 31,781 people (59.6 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 21,811 (40.9 percent) have received the second shot.

Vaccine registrations have re-opened, and there are plenty of available slots for everyone aged 16 and over.
