Helgi Abrahamsen, of Sambandsflokkurin, has left his post as the Minister of Environment, Industry and Trade.
He will now return to Parliament, replacing fellow party member Magnus Rasmussen, who will take over Abrahamsen’s ministerial duties.
The new minister has in recent years chaired the parliamentary finance committee. This role will now be taken up by Sambandsflokkurin MP Erhard Joensen.
