Ewald Kjølbro, the CEO of Landsverk and the Ministry of Transport agreed yesterday to terminate their partnership after extensive problems with the Glasir building project.

Transport minister Heðin Mortensen said that with the mounting pressure following the overspending scandal, something needed to be done.

He added that he will appoint a new interim CEO of Landsverk today or tomorrow, and after New Year the ministry will advertise a permanent CEO position.

Kjølbro declined to comment on the matter.
