Face masks required by all at airport
Protective face masks are not only mandatory on flights; from tomorrow, everyone present at the airport must wear an officially approved mask.
Approved masks are available for sale at the airport's information desk and in pharmacies.
Children aged six or below and people with respiratory problems are exempt from this requirement.
These new regulations come into force tomorrow when travellers from Denmark, Greenland, Norway, Iceland and Germany will be allowed to enter the Faroes provided they provide a negative COVID-19 test result that’s no more than five days old.

Those who have not been able to obtain such a test result in time for their trip will be tested at the airport free of charge.
Faroese residents travelling out of the country must either show their return ticket or their proof of residency in the Faroes.
Only ticketed passengers, staff and others who have made special arrangements are allowed inside the terminal. Guests picking up or seeing off passengers will be required to wait outside, as will taxi and bus drivers.
