Vaccines extended to 45-year-olds

People in risk groups within the 45-54 age bracket may book their appointment now. A list of risk groups is available here (in Faroese and Danish).

Everyone else in the 45-54 age group can register from tomorrow. The registration site is currently only available in Faroese, but an English version will be available soon.

Those requiring assistance with filling in the forms can call 304545 on weekdays between 2pm and 4pm. Questions can also be directed to the Corona hotline (304040), open Mondays-Thursdays 10am-3pm.

Latest Covid statistics

One in four of those who have tested positive for Covid-19 in the Faroes are in the 20-29 age group.

Next up is the 40-49 age group with just over 15 percent.

The gender split is 51 percent men and 49 percent women.

The Russian and Lithuanian sailors who tested Covid positive in the Faroes last summer are not included in these statistics.
