Survey: 87 percent approve of Covid vaccine
Most people in the Faroes are happy with the country’s handling of the Covid pandemic.
This is one of the key findings in a new survey, conducted by the University of the Faroe Islands, which asked about 1,000 members of the public about their level of trust in the country’s authorities during the Covid pandemic.

About 87 percent of respondents said they have either been vaccinated or are due to be vaccinated soon; however, about one in five reported concerns about the long-term side effects of the vaccine.

No new Covid cases
No positive Covid tests were registered yesterday.
The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 1, 0, 0, 0, 1, 1 and 0.
There are currently 13 active Covid-19 cases in the country. One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 34 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.
According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated on Friday, 27,434 people (51.4 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 18,648 (35 percent) have received the second shot.
