Direct flights to Amsterdam
The Faroese national airline will be flying to Amsterdam from June next year, according to Danish air traffic website check-in.dk.
An Atlantic Airways spokesperson has confirmed to the website that the company is preparing a direct flight service to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport next summer.
At November’s International Air Transport Association meeting it will be decided whether this route will be approved.
Atlantic Airways announced this summer that it has formed a partnership with Air France-KLM. Anita Wagner Feddersen, who represents Air France-KLM in Denmark said at the time that the French/Dutch airline wants to make it easier for people to fly to the Faroe Islands.
The plan is to introduce three weekly flights direct to Amsterdam.
