Store reprimanded for misleading adverts

The original price of a discounted item should be included in all forms of advertising.

This is the reminder by the Consumer Watchdog Agency to a store which was found to have breached the marketing law by leaving out the original price in its Black Friday adverts.

The adverts on the store’s website provided information on discounts in relation to the original price, but this is not enough, according to the Consumer Watchdog.

Although the original price was mentioned in the PDF of the catalogue which was delivered to households across the country, it had been omitted in the online advert.
