Immigration and integration

Here is a quick summary of what the new coalition agreement (text in Faroese only) says in relation to immigration and integration.

More focus will be placed on the teaching of Faroese as a second language. The plan is to offer student grants to those who enrol in the longer language courses.

The new government aims to make it easier for foreign nationals to get their qualifications approved in the Faroes.

Foreign workers will be better informed about their rights and duties and will be given more flexible access to Faroese language courses.

More details will follow in the coming days and weeks.
