New boat rental service popular with tourists

Tour guide Samson Højgaard founded boat rental website boat.fo earlier this year, and it has proved a big success with locals and tourists alike.

The service is proving particularly popular with tourists, who are keen to experience a traditional Faroese fishing trip in a Faroese boat.

“It delights me that so many tourists want to go fishing the Faroese way,” says Højgaard. “They appreciate getting close to nature and learning first-hand about the history behind Faroese small-boat fishing.”
