The National Hospital’s COO, Thomas Schiøler, has resigned from his position after finding “his dream job” in Denmark

It was not easy to find a COO for the National Hospital. The position was advertised twice, as only one person applied for the job in the first application round. In the second round, there were five applicants, and Schiøler was eventually handed the position on 1 November last year.

“I have had good cooperation with the hospital management,” he says. “It can, however, be a challenge to come to work in the Faroes for someone who does not have roots here.”
