Tunnel fees for commercial vehicles cut in half

Price adjustments for commercial vehicles driving through the new subsea tunnel will come into force on Monday.

The various weight classes for commercial vehicles up to and including 3,500 kg will be removed, meaning that all commercial vehicles (trucks and vans) weighing less than 3,500 kg will pay the same fee.

The previous fee of DKK 300 for driving between Eysturoy and Streymoy will be halved to DKK 150 for these vehicles.

This reduced charge will be further discounted Mondays to Fridays 4.15pm-7.45am, going from DKK 150 to DKK 75.

This discount is also available throughout weekends, from Friday 4.15pm to Monday 7.45am.

All price adjustments apply to subscription holders only. Non-subscription holders will pay an additional DKK 100.

Times will be registered at the roundabout inside the tunnel, where the registration system is located.

The new changes will apply provisionally until 31 May, according to tunnel.fo.
