Eight new Covid cases
Five of the eight people who tested Covid positive yesterday had not been in quarantine

Yesterday’s 1,121 Covid-19 tests yielded eight positive outcomes, reports corona.fo.

Seven of these are linked to a known chain of infection, while the remaining person’s source of infection has not yet been identified.

Five of the eight infected people had not been in quarantine.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 6, 5, 6, 0, 3, 2 and 8.

There are currently 43 active Covid cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 395 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated on Saturday, 20,841 people (39,2 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 12,387 (23.3 percent) have received the second shot.
